Outreach Psychology was established in 2016, with the aim of making it easier for individuals, families and organisations to access clinical psychology and mental health support. We know that many people find it difficult to obtain advice, support, and therapy at the point that they need it most, and our hope is that our service makes this process simple and helpful. We are committed to promoting emotional wellbeing, alleviating distress, and attending to problems, even those that may be very complex or enduring.

Outreach Psychology specialises in offering services that are flexible and creative, in environments that feel comfortable and suit individuals’ needs. We are experienced at supporting individuals of all ages, from varied backgrounds, with a wide range of emotional and mental health needs. Outreach Psychology provides evidence based assessment, interventions and therapy, to the highest ethical and professional standards. We enjoy working in partnership with other agencies, to provide the best all round care for those in need.

The service is based in Glasgow, and works with a range of different charities and local authorities within the central belt of Scotland, and sometimes further afield. We welcome referrals from organisations, as well as self referrals from individuals seeking mental health or psychological support. We are happy to provide information about our services in response to individual needs and circumstances.

Adults

Adults might seek support from a clinical psychology service for lots of different reasons.  Sometimes its for therapy, at other times its helpful to gain advice about the best approach or solution, or to get a second opinion from someone who is independent and can look at a situation with compassion and ‘fresh eyes’.  Usually the best place to start is with an assessment; this can sound very formal, but what it involves is a psychologist listening to someone’s experiences and difficulties, in order to work out with them what the best way is to help.
